![]() We'll discuss further changes to the Control LTM in the patch notes section. So when you're controlling and defending point B, you'll be able to utilize everything the sick man prepared to defend yourself. ![]() It's the middle point between the two points, and it will retain its Nox Gas traps and overall layout. While trying to control the Caustic Treatment, point B will be Caustic's Lab. Modified, as in multiple new movement options such as new covers, ziplines, and skydive launchers added to balance the layout for both teams. In this run of Control, we're getting a new map! It's a modified version of Caustic Treatment in Kings Canyon. But I do believe Control will make multiple, frequent appearances in the future. Arena mode already exists, so Respawn adding another permanent non-BR mode is unlikely. I don't think Control will become a permanent mode (I would gladly eat my words on this one), mainly because Respawn wants to keep the focus on the battle royale mode. However, Control coming back so soon after its initial run (and with new content) implies that Control's return was planned beforehand, not just a response to the community's positive reaction. Respawn is once again giving us Control, but it will be taken away even more quickly this time. Respawn has a habit of teasing the players by making all their great content time-limited. Control is back, baby! Yeah! But it will be gone again after two weeks. ![]() Okay, time for ControlĪlright, let's jump right into the real juicy part of this update. It even includes Artur's shield on the back. As you'll remember, Wise Warrior skin is the battle armor of Bloodhound's uncle Artur. Between April 8 and April 12, another fan-favorite Bloodhound skin, "Wise Warrior," makes an appearance right next to "Captain Bamboozle" for Mirage. Jaeger Caustic's appearance strongly resembles the giant mechanical fighter robots called "Jaegers" there.īetween April 1 and April 5, the Rampart and Caustic skins remain, but we get another fan-favorite Wraith skin (to nobody's surprise) in the shape of "Queen's Guard," another Viking-themed Wraith skin that's been very popular along with its variant, Protector of the Void.īetween April 5 and April 8, we get the "Whitelisted" Crypto skin in the rotation. Attack on Titan fans, I'm sorry to say that this Caustic skin is not a reference to our favorite multi-layered main character but to the movie Pacific Rim. Between March 29 and April 1, new skins such as "Rumble Ready" Rampart, "Blood and Thunder" Gibraltar, and "Jaeger" Caustic will be available in the store, among others. The Collection Event exclusive skins will also be presented in the Apex Store, rotating every couple of days. In this event, we are getting a new Mirage skin as a part of the reward tracker. These rewards include stat trackers, Apex Packs, and new skins for Legends and weapons. By acquiring all 24 of these items by buying or crafting them, you'll be rewarded with the newest Heirloom in Apex Legends! It's Crypto's Heirloom, the Biwon Blade.Īs a regular part of the Collection Events, there's a reward tracker where you can earn points to unlock rewards by completing daily challenges. These include Legendary skins such as the "Synthetic Huntress" for Ash, "Riding Dirty" for Octane, "Jewel Olympus" for Horizon, and "Combat Survivalist" for Lifeline. What's new?įirst of all, as always, 24 new skins arrive with the Warriors Event. ![]() Why do you have to do this to us, Respawn?īefore we talk about the Control Mode, though, let's pretend it's not the most important part of this update and take a look at the rest of the event. From March 29 to April 12, the new Collection Event and Control LTM will be available. It also brings everyone's current favorite Limited Time Mode, Control. Greetings, Legends! We have a new Collection Event in Apex Legends! It's called the Warriors Collection Event, and as most Collection Events do, it brings incredibly cool skins and a new Heirloom to the game. With the Warriors Event, Control is making a comeback. This has made many people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move. After its 3-week schedule ended, Control mode was gone. Quickly becoming a fan favorite, Control cemented its spot as one of the best LTMs in the game. With the release of Season 12, Apex Legends received a new Limited Time Mode called Control.
